Island hopping via the mainland
Another way to travel to the islands is via the regular ferry connections from the mainland. This allows for more flexible planning and eliminates the need to worry about the ferry links between the islands.
How does it work? Start by visiting one island and then take the regular ferry back to the mainland. From there, travel to the port of the next island by car, bicycle, or public transport.
An added bonus: Along the way, you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Frisian Wadden coast.
