Staying in the special world of a Wadden island and enjoying art. That's possible in November on Ameland!
In November, several professional artists will exhibit their work in the inspiring island environment; an international company of artists from Scandinavia, Germany and the Netherlands, among others. Their work can be viewed in around 30 locations, spread throughout the island. In a natural setting of bright and sunny or sometimes mystical and foggy tidal weather, it is wandering and enjoying the island art on display!

Bruna's work consists of a striking sculpture floating in an empty plain. ‘Precisely by dropping the traditional perspective, I was suddenly able to do anything I wanted,’ he said. ‘If I didn't have to create space in a drawing, I could do anything, I was unlimited.’
One form of unlimited is the many possibilities and choices offered to us.

Participating artists and artistic disciplines
Sculptures, paintings, glass art, photography, multi-media, ceramics... Both national and international artists are represented during Kunstmaand Ameland.
There is also room for Ameland's amateur artists.

Art locations
The ‘exhibition spaces’ include churches, various galleries, museums, the town hall and camping farms, but the landscape also serves as a backdrop.
All exhibitions taking place as part of De Kunstmaand on Ameland are open from Tuesday to Sunday, a number of locations can also be visited on Mondays.

ProefRoute Ameland
With the ProefRoute (Tasting Tour), you will enjoy the Month of Art on Ameland even more! Will you join this culinary tour this year?
Tour renowned Ameland restaurants during Kunstmaand and enjoy refined snacks with matching wine. Discover the craftsmanship of the participating chefs. The chefs work with honest Amelander products from their own soil. The wines have been carefully selected by Wijnen van Egbert.
