Eco safari beach pole 17
Starting at the Nature Centre Ameland, we embark with electric buggies on a tour through the different landscapes of the island.
From Nes, we travel through the polder landscape on the southside of Ameland, towards the "Buresteiger".
On the dike the guide will explain to you the many aspects of the Wadden Sea. In the distance, on the other side of the sea, you will see Holwert.
Next, we cross over to the northern side of the island by following a further section of polderlandscape. It takes us to the dunes. Once we arrive at beach pole 17, we park the buggies and take a short hike to the top of the "Bureblinkert"; one of the tallest dunes in the area. We enjoy the beautiful views all around us, across the Wadden Sea as well as the North Sea, salt marshes and the easternmost forest of Ameland. The guide will provide explanations and can answer any questions you may have.
On the return trip to the Nature Centre we traverse the recreation area between Nes and Buren, and via the Vleyen we eventually arrive back at our starting point. You will have just been introduced to most of the landscapes Ameland has to offer in 90 minutes!
