Bus transport on Ameland

Prices
In the buses on Ameland, you can easily check in and out with your debit or credit card. You can also buy a ticket on the bus, but you may only pay with pin. You also can travel with your OV-chip card. 

Tickets available from driver:

• Single trip 1 zone: €2,60
• Return journey 1 zone € 3,75
• Single trip 2 zones € 3,20
• Return journey 2 zones € 5,85
• Day ticket €6,35
• 10-ride ticket 1 zone € 18,70 (max 2 persons on the same card)
• 10-ride ticket 2 zones € 25,54 (max 2 persons on the same card)

Topping up the OV-chipkaart can be done on the bus and at Primera on Ameland. The fare calculation with the OV-chipkaart is based on the price of the journey you take.

In addition, both national subscriptions and Qbuzz subscriptions are valid on Qbuzz buses on Ameland.

Time table 
There are 3 bus lines on Ameland:

• Line 1 is the line between the ferry, Nes, Ballum and Hollum
• Line 2 is the line between the ferry, Buren, Nes (beach), Nes and the ferry
• Line 3 is the line between Hollum, Ballum, Nes and the ferry

Changes subject to change, no rights can be derived from these timetables.

Groups:
If you are travelling with a group, you can reserve a bus in advance with the transport company Qbuzz by sending an email to ameland@qbuzz.nl. For groups of around 30 people or more who are staying on the island, Qbuzz offers a special rate. It is advisable to register your group in advance to avoid disappointment. An arrangement will then be made regarding the time and method of travel.

Guests with limited mobility
If you are in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking, even then you can easily use the bus on Ameland. View the special stops
